We have been working hard since 2000 to promote the division of the Japanese Akita Inu breed from the American Akita in the UK. Finally, the breed was recognised in 2006 and we made a decision that now is the time to buy our first breeding stock of this lovely breed. We bought our beautiful Jeema in partnership with Maureen Thompson & Peter Chapman (Kitado Akitas) and she goes from strength to strength. In July 2008 we added Kita-Go to our kennel. Keep an eye out for our lovely Akita Inus on this website, on www.tsoyu.co.uk and in the show ring and in the dog press. Look at the pictures on the photo gallery to see the new Japanese Akita Inus which we own in partnership and are handled by Maureen and by Sophie. Then see the website of the partnership: www.tsoyu.co.uk for more details.

| Information on our breed lines. | | The Kintoki kennel has been an established breeding kennel for the Japanese Shiba Inu for many years - in fact one of the longest in the UK. Our Shiba breeding stock comes from some of the most beautiful animals originally imported into the United Kingdom. We have never deviated from the original lines, which we considered to be of excellent quality. Of course, there were faults within the lines in the early days, but after selective breeding and considered outcrossing, we now produce shibas of a definite 'kintoki' type. Never let it be said that the Shiba Inu breeding stock is anything other than pure Japanese as the original stock was imported from Japan, via America. Colours: Kintoki are proud to announce that their breed lines carry the pure, beautiful colours as follows: Beautiful reds, Outstanding Black and Tans and Striking Whites have featured in the Kintoki breed lines over the past 20 years.
